NachoMan, I think it is about $1200 to ship to Perth via TNT.
The cheapest quote I got was $1360. Obviously I want the car transported to me as cheaply as I can, but I might be asking a bit much.

I'm keen, but I want to minimise the costs involved, and not being able to see it, touch it or drive it, is taking a big risk as far as a car purchase is concerned. No doubt, some of you on here will attest to the good condition of this car, and that's great, but it's still a risk.
I'm not trying to be negative, but it's frustrating being so far away from all of the good stuff that comes up for sale over east.

I'm almost tempted to fly over to take a peak :)

If you need to ask, you can't afford it. By the way, you've still got four years before it can be imported.

Why do I have to wait four years to get it imported, Is there some kind of law that prohibits imports to be shipped out of Austrillia.

Here in the states there all kind of imports form Right hand drive trubo Starlet's to Nissian Skyline's. LOL

DOT says 25 years or older can be imported without special permits. Special permits being for race or show only, can only be in country for 4 years and has to be destroyed or shipped back afterwards. Yes there are some skylines that were shipped legally but there are lots of others that were "snuck" in. They are cracking down on illegal imports as well, I've seen on NICO forums where several illegal skylines has been confiscated and destroyed. Starlets are old enough to bring in along with Z-cars, 210's, among others.

BTW who said I was broke? A wise state trooper once told me, "ignorance of the law is not an excuse."
