Oh shit! I called this morning first thing (Simmons are fantastic people and very efficient) and the centers are already made and machined. The outer rim will now be a 4" section with a 5" inner which calculates out to be a 9" rim with a +8mm offset. So more dish which is great but I think I might be running around 45 deg negative camber! Should be ready next week!!!! :D :D

Relax! I have checked the wheel with an almost identical sized Simmons fr18 and it looks the goods:
Image
What do you think? Hot or what! Certainly fills the guards and has enough dish. The tyre is slightly larger than the one I will be running: a 265/35/18 where as I am running a 255/35/18. The pis shows maximum negative camber so no doubt I will have to pull it back a few degrees finally. The rims will be ready next week and the tyres are ready for fitting on Friday. All I need now is the engine and dash to be fitted :D

I am doing a touch up on the chassis rail where the brake fluid has leaked and will detail everything once the car is sorted. I have finished all the certification work and plan on fitting the dash back in this weekend if all goes to plan.

Ha Ha, I thought there must be some other way
of measuring 45 deg when you said that, and my
8-12 deg was bloody hard to steer on the old
rally bucket.

the bucket.

Cheers ;phil.
