well things did not go to plan !
qualifying went bad with the engine dropping a cylinder and as I had just fitted my race plugs I figured that a lead had come off .
Wrong ! the no 4 plug had fused the electrodes and no 3 plug was white but both the front plugs where good - must have some sh*t in the carb with plenty of time to race 1 the carb was wipped apart and cleaned . nothing was found wrong but on refitting and setting up the engine seamed sweet.

race 1 and with a qualifying time of 2:42 or something ( a bloke could run around sandown faster ) or thats how it seamed. that got me 40th on the grid and you cant go backward from there - so I thought
well the lights go out and the sigma felt strong pasted 4 cars by turn one but with only 2 laps of race 1 and the engine again leaned out - result a hole in no 2 piston

I haven't found the fault as yet,I dont beleve it was the jetting think it may be a fuel pump issue

any way the engine will come out this week so I can rebuild it and try to make it to caulder 20-21 sep

That's a real bummer cheater, I guess that's where the term, "Well, that's motor racing" comes from.
Chin up though, car racing is a bit like my golfing; I only need one good hole (or lap) to put a smile on my face and do it all over again :D
And a 2:42 - I've got you by over a minute rofl

1:40 still slow but there was a lot of traffic a that stage - hay jeff turn 1 is busy with 40 on the grid

just have to make it quicker for next time

Yes, I can recall a couple of Formula Vee races where we had 45+ charging down into turn 1. In one of those, a guy up front clipped wheels and ended up flying through the air backwards  :o
The rest of us took some very interesting evasive action to avoid complete carnage rofl

Oh, for the good old days; when I had less money, no mortgage and bigger gonads LOL

From personal experience that's worth about 1 - 2 seconds a lap. LOL
Never argue with an idiot, it brings you down to their level and they beat you with experience.
