there used to be (and probably still is) a sticky thread on SQC that said basically if you start a thread or mention a starion being seen on a certain episode of seinfeld that you would get BANNED from the site rofl
seriously though there is always SOME (or many) subject/s on any internet forum that has been done to death and people just dont want to go there again...

Haven't been able to get onto the forum for months and finally get on to see this .
STARION = STAR of orION . The whole Mitsubishi range had an Astronomical naming theme based on the Orion Star system and as the Starion was the car to 'launch' Mitsubishi Internationally on a large scale , it got the 'best' name .
End of story .
Why the mods ( if there are any ) don't put something about the name on the main page is beyond me . :x

who the fuck cares??
what's in a name? Who cares where it came from?
I think it's a great name.. and I think the Starion logo looks freakin awesome.. and i wouldn't have it any other way..
If i wanted it another way, i would have another car.
what sounds better.. starion or supra?
starion or skyline?
starion or celica?
starion or fairlady?
starion or impreza?
starion or sylvia?
starion or integra??
... the list can go on and on
i reckon starion is the only masculine name among them all anyway
history is there for us to learn from the mistakes of our ancestors.. how does the origins of the name of a car relate to this end?
we have a great car. it's called the STARION. end of story :glare:
