So you reccon just plumb the pcv to atmosphere through a breather filter instead of pressurising the head?

pcv

Post by 4gpwr »

If you want your motor to suck in fumes from the pcv you could plumb in a sealed catch can to try to prevent the oil entering the intake. Or vent the crank case fumes to atnosophere or to a catch can , or a oil retern to the sump , caution when putting a filter on the rocker cover, oil mist can cause a fire . I would peffer both outlets on rocker cover to be vented to a catch can with a filter on the can .

I have a new catch can there for it I just havn't gotten around to fitting it and plumbing it up yet. Catch can on both the PCV and sump sounds like the best option.

unfortunately for legal reasons the pcv setup has to be sealed, so the top of the catch can has to go back to the intake pipe.. still if your catch can is working u get fk all into the engine.

not in qld, man. up here you can easily argue that a well setup multipoint injection will have better emissions than a 1982 single point, which is true....

A well tuned MPI setup with the basic emmision gear fitted will blow the stock emission levels away.

yep we can, as long as its done properly. and remember vic is the only state with expensive epa testing, nsw for example is inexpensive and a lot less nasty a process to go through. we dont have epa testing at this stage.
