Totally unrelated to cars but thought i should ask and see if i can get some quick help!
If i take a photo of anything......how do i get the rights to that photo to not get published or used in any circumstances without my authority?
Links are good here or any other help!
Cheers.
Question
I dont think you can.
You might claim athe photo as 'intellectual property' but I doubt that covers such things.
The so called celebs battle this sort of thing all the time with the paparazzi and it seems only a smack in the face and smashing their camera seem to have any effect.
The only thing I know of is that police via the court system can prevent publication of certain crime investigation sensitive material.

Never argue with an idiot, it brings you down to their level and they beat you with experience.
unless you have written permission
and/or rights to the subject pictured
you will have no rights,
copy right will probably only give you
partial cover,
Like everything else,,, Once published
you will probably have less or no rights to it.
COPY RIGHT; need only have a 10% veriation
from the origial and the picture will be deemed
A DIFFERENT PICTURE than the original

TORQUES-CHEAP.
Because of the fact you took the photo means you are automatically the owner of the copyright. You can watermark any copies the enter the public domain to try to ensure it is not able to be used illegally. Then you sell the rights and supply the original to whoever pays for it. Hang on to the original and let it go when someone gives you money...that's how you keep it copyrighted.
You could probably sue for rights money if it was used somewhere....but it depends where the image is used as to how much you may reap from it.
