Experience with UP Garage?

Post by NachoMan »

Hi there everyone, I 'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience buying from Up Garage before? I'm considering buying some stuff from them, and was just after some feedback.
Thanks...

They used to be called otomoto? Yeah I bought rims off them. They were pretty cheap but they had some pretty bad damage on them that they didn't tell me about, and the offset was not what they said it was. It said on the website that they were +18 offset and they were +29 so that was pretty bad. When I asked him what condition they were in before I drove down he said they had a couple of gutter scratches but when I got there and had a look, one of them had (has) a big dint in it that sticks out (in the dish) and another one has a huge scrape on the inside (where the tire goes) that almost goes all the way through the rim. But after driving for 3 hours to look at them I still bought them. The rims still balanced up well, so that was ok.
Anyway that was my experience with them… But they did sell me my tires for $110 each for 235/40/18 which was good.

Yeah I noticed that otomoto have a link to upgarage on their page.
I'm assuming that both companies are owned by the same person/people.
Still, if the service/products in one place is good, I suppose it's acceptable to think that the other would be good too.
