Starion JA for sale

Post by Ryan »

I am selling because I have lost interest, also tend to travel a lot for work. I use the car as a daily driver and want something bigger and more comfortable. I am asking $6000 ono. Rego expires Feb 2009. I have got the receipts for all the work done.

Engine (All engine mods below done professionally during rebuild by West Racing completed March 2006)

Currently running 14lb boost max, 94HP at the rear wheels. Complete rebuild costing more than $13,000. Needs intercooler then more boost!

The compression has been raised significantly, so it drives very well at low revs with lots of boost down low (quite different to a stock starion). It also handles very well with the upgraded suspension but still comfortable.

Internals

Custom forged pistons and rings
Raised Compression to 8.7:1
Head studs
Redline oil

Externals

Turbo: Water cooled Garrett GT2860RLS Ball Bearing, custom mountings and cross over pipe.
Intake Manifold: Mitsubishi L300 EFI
MPI Conversion- low impedance injectors
GFB Blow Off Valve
Ignition: Bosch
Pod air filter
Reconditioned radiator

Drivetrain

Heavy Duty Clutch (April 2005)
Redline diff oil
Redline gearbox oil
Brakes recently serviced (June 2007)
235 wheels/tyres

Engine Management

MoTeC M4

Exhaust (May 2004)

Custom Dump pipe
2 ½ inch piping from turbo back
Straight through muffler

Sound System

Deck: Alpine CD
Amplifier: Audioline
Speakers Front: Alpine 2 way
Speakers Rear: Alpine

Security (Dec 2006)

Cat 4 alarm
ultrasonic sensors
2dr central locking

Suspension (Wheels World Oct 2007)

Lowered King springs
Koni Adjustable shocks with custom mounts
Uprated sway bars front and rear

Agreed!
Come along to the next meet, and maybe some interest will be renewed.
Other than that, a meet/cruise is a great way to meet new contacts for selling your car...

94HP seemed pretty low to me too, but thats what was on the dyno sheet printout I got, maybe i got the wrong one or something. I have been in a couple of stock/near stock starions and mine is definitely a lot quicker. Ill be at the next cruise if I havent sold it before then!
