My Widebody.
Found some pics of a Widey I had for a short time in Japan . Sorry about pic quality , they're scanned .
This car was a 1990 model and I had it in 2001 . I'd bought it on a trip over there with the intention of importing it but the Aussie Govt. said no :glare:
so I had to sell it after 6 months of paying for storage etc. . . .
Anyway , it had only 45000k's on it and although it was filthy in these pics , was absolutely mint . I just about got a nosebleed the first time I saw it . Had brand new Simmons wheels , brand new HKS adjustable coilovers , HKS F-conV ECU , HKS guages , 8 speaker Carrozerria stereo and satellite navigation , Ralliart pedal set , strut brace , HKS Blow off valve , BIG stainless exhaust , Ralliart cam , U.S market bumper , and a partridge in a pear tree .
Went like a dream and drove like new . Seeing all these nice black ones being brought over here now has made me a bit nostalgic

exhaust was one of those crazy adjustable ones where when its under load it unloads the second silencer. like a late mazda 929
Fibreglass airdams $370, fibreglass front bumpers $260, reco drag links $165, alloy radiators $925 (unpolished), h/l switch rebuilds $125, all plus freight.

Re: ...
The exhaust was very good quality , the muffler was HKS too from memory . Many modified cars in Japan use removeable silencers in the mufflers as you have to realize it's very crowded over there and a neighbour with a noisy car would be lynched .NachoMan wrote:What is that for an exhaust?
That exhaust looks very dodgy!
Otherwise very nice. I wonder who has it now?
As for the HKS suspension , I don't know but when I go back I can look into it .

Yeah , the wheels REALLY suited it . The HKS coil overs had just been fitted when I got it , all the original suspension was stuffed into the HKS boxes and was on the back seat so I had both .
1989 was kinda supposed to be the end of production but it continued partly into 1990 , one reason was that the GTO was way behind schedule . In any case , there aren't too many 1990's around .
