How much power can a starion gear box handle???

I didnt know about the synchros.
The reasen I got the B2200 was the shifter is in the right spot and the gear ratios are better suited to the starion I thought. As the RX7 box is set up for a 4.10:1 diff ratio.
Maybe I should get a RX7 box and have the gear shift changed. And then try and find a 3.9 or even better 4.1 ratio diff gears. Ive got the 3.5 at the mo.

starion ratios and FC RX7 ratios are within a flyshit of each other. there is a thread about this conversion on this site that has the run down...

Lower ratios would be more desirable though . If it possible to use the B2200 gears in an RX7 box , or the RX7 syncro's etc. in the modified B2200 box , then I'd be looking at that .

jas probably best people to talk to would be someone that club races an older rotor like RX2-3-4 etc there are plenty of them in oz not sure about nz though, they would know exactly what interchanges with what....

Jas, what year/model b2200?

Just looking at our one, doesn't have a seperate bell housing but does have an adaptor plate (cos they have an old english perkins motor)
Just wondering if I could modify the plate (to fit the 63) and fit the rx7 box to that, instead of finding the rare bellhousing. I'm assured that its a rx7 patten box.

hes allready got the rare bellhousing, im pretty sure
