My new JD ....have a look !!

Post by Noddy »

So here it is - picked up with Nachoman today. :D :D
Drove it back from Mandurah and it was OK but started missing a bit so we have now got new plugs and leads and its running great.

It had not been cleaned for many a year so its had a quick (very quick) vacuum and a wash to get most of the dirt off - still a lot of cleaning to do.
Very original #48 JD.
Interior is revealing itself to be in excellent shape.Have a look and let me know what you think :)

One of the great finds of this century! In Oz anyway!

Now it would be nice if you two could pick up the gold one and keep it for safe keeping for Redzone :D

PS. Please don't throw out the damaged LHS taillight as I could put it to use, especially the amber plastic.

I will hang onto the old tail - light - I still need a replacement, maybe off the gold one?

No worries!!! I should have a pair of JD taillights available once I get a good set of Conquest lights for my widebody.

They're a bit tricky to clear (and an expensive exercise :D )

Was the car running and registered?
Could this be the one I saw in City Beach late last year?

Car is running and registered. This one lived down in Mandurah. That's not exactly close to City Beach, but anything is possible...

I don't think it would have been this one as it hasn't been driven much for a long time - I did find quite a few Maccas French fries to vacuum up..... they looked as good as new, the preservatives work well :D .... if I was hungry......
Its been in Mandurah for a while and the original owner was in Fremantle. :beer
Licenced and running... on the list is to get rid of the yellow number plates and get some black and white ones :)

Damn fine vehicle. A clone of mine, right down the to the dicky air dam and same dent in the left fender. Less rust than mine - result!
