LOL!!! OMG!!! Small world!
Redzone! That is my mates old car, I've spent a day in it... and know it VERY well, haha. Even done a few youtube videos from inside. It is actually a genuine GrpA not a CS (import) and no it isn't the earliest that we know of but close. I believe Neil Bates owned #1 and #2 (#1 then got sold to someone in a foreign country). I know of 005, 009 and 013 that are lower.

...a couple of photos and vids I've taken of it. I have stacks more.

Its a wicked car and would have been an absolute bargain for the price I'm assuming your brother got it for. So many goodies included and it really does pull very well. The guy who sold it actually bought another white GrpA exactly the same, but with a 205 engine swap. He's a real nutter, totally into these cars and knows exactly what he's doing, so your bro can be assured that his new car came from a good pair of hands.

I never quite understood why the USA didn't get the 205, at least you got the nicest shape in the Alltrac, can't complain too much... But its always nice to have the best of both worlds 205 heart with the 185 glamour. :Dairbats801 wrote:those suckers are hard to find here the st185 was the last gt four model we received. Nice looking car!

found this post while searching thru the forum for some info.. thought i'd revive it :D
my favourite car as a kid was the supra.. even before i knew about cars and driving and speed and all that, i fell in love with the supra at first sight.. and they still float my boat..
other cars i was thinking about recently.. lotus exige.. turboed of course..
was toying with the idea of a 1990 merc 190e or an E30 3 series bmw.. but with the stock engine taken out and replaced with a 1uz toyota v8.. 3uz heads.. supercharged.. yummm  perfect luxury sleepers..
I have a love for all cars that have good base for performance.. love turbos.. love superchargers.. love big block v8s, love hi tech 4s.. love them all.. as long as they're modified to be the best they can be (or at least modified to be exhilarating in any way), I want to drive them.. listen to them.. sit in them.. feel them..
it's a shame i don't have a nack for the mechanical side of things.. my fingers seem to be better suited to a keyboard than a wrench :?

1985 JB Starion #157
Ive had well over 150 cars in my life...no joke.
Westfield clubman was great but too impractical
Ford Cobra was all show and no go ( XC falcon model )
Had about five or six starions
Original sigma turbo was one of my favourites - should never have sold that car
I have to say there is no other car regardless of price that I like as much as a starion. In saying that if money was no object perhaps an Aston Martin DB9. All class and effortless power. yep that would do it for me. Would still have to have a starion though.
