FS: JB Starion with MPI and TD05 B16G

Post by fr335tyl3r »

Hi Guys,

It's the end of an era - I don't have the time or the patience to work on the starion any more given that I have the Evo to look after now.

Details are as follows:

1984 JB Starion
Maroon Paint (Not standard, was repainted by a previous owner)

The Good Things
  • L300 Multipoint Conversion
    450cc VR4 Injectors
    Large FMIC
TD05 B16G with ported exhaust manifold
Pod Filter with custom intake pipe
    3" Turbo Back Exhaust
    Haltech E6X ECU
    Haltech Electronic Boost Controller
LSD Rebuilt just before car was purchased (2 years ago) and car has been infrequently driven since
    VL Turbo Fuel Pump
    Rear Mounted Battery
    Short Shifter
    Lowered King Springs
Shocks replaced in the front < 12 months ago
Complete Maroon Interior - All in mint or close to mint condition
The not so good things
  • No rego on the car
Steering play currently exists (easily fixed with a new or second hand steering coupler)
Slight damage to the bottom of the drivers door and rear quater
Car could use new front quater panels as they are slightly cracked on the top
Stereo is currently not wired in
The car has made 159rwhp on 6psi of boost, before the oil cooler starter to spit out oil on the dyno as one of the threads had been damaged. This has since been replaced and the leak has stopped, but retune has not occured as I have not had time to find and install a new steering coupler.

Car should be good for easily over 200rwhp once tuned for 13-16psi. Results would be similar to those experienced on MRB1's JA - which was around 210rwhp.

This has been a great car - but I simply don't have the time to work and play with it anymore with pressure from work...that and it lives at my parents house which means that I only get to see it 2 days a week at most.

Asking price is $3500 (this is what I paid for the car 2 years ago - and there has been over $8,000 spent on the car since that time).

*BUMP*

I have dropped the price.
If there is no interest, I will start looking to part the car out.

Yes. Simply add all the digits of your Vin number together (but dont add the option codes) and multiply by 2.3

I found out my car makes 125hp. Less than I hoped for.
Hope this helps.
