Well the old (1982) girl has come a long way since i got her in bare metal state a few months back. And the best thing is the car to date owes me very little cash since ive done everything myself :)
Couple of little things to do before shes on the road, but nothing major (im hoping!)

Looks good, did you roller the whole car? That bit on the rear bumper that you have colour coded, did it paint alright? I want to do mine but the previous owner had thrown about a 200l drum of silicone at it and I don't think it'll paint to well.
What needs to be done?

Looks good. How much to do for WOF? Did you think of leaving the strips down the back window/hatch black? I love the colour and if you did roller the whole thing it came out very well! :beer

Yeah i rollered the whole lot. In a dusty garage as well which didnt help :? Its definitely a 6 foot car, isnt brilliant close up but thats more due to my lack of prep before i painted as i was in a bit of a hurry.
But its not bad by any means, and the brightside paint is nice and glossy.
And even my mrs likes the colour (which is bizarre as she hates starions :o )
Bumper black bit was no trouble at all paint went on and stayed on with only a light sand with 1000 grit paper.
Bigd - Yeah the bits goin down the rear hatch sides were lacking in paint when i got the car so decided to just colour code them as well. As for a WOF - who knows il prob take it in next week. First ive gotta sort the no indicators, no intermittent wipers issue, and the battery draining no start one :? :? :?

Go the Brightside Largo Blue.
I was considering that colour and I've seen a old lancer painted in it.
Have you got any closeups?
Btw, how'd you mount the JD rear wing bits to yor JA?

Na this is the only pic ive taken so far as i havnt had a chance to clean and polish the car yet, as the interior needs a bit of sorting first.
The JD wing is actually an aftermarket aerotech item made here in NZ, and if i remember rightly jono (spidersweb) who i bought the car off had siliconed and riveted it on. It stil needs a bit of work to smooth it off perfectly but thats way down the list of things to do at the moment
