both tim and I had an awesome day yesterday in the orange and white starions, was a bit last minute, forgot to post up here that i was going :glare: but i was pretty flat out trying to make my white JB do better than 14.99 at the last minute! was up til 1 oclock friday night doing intercooler piping/fuel cut defender/bleed valve/blow off valve and setting it up for 16 psi.. had to wake up at 4.30 to get ready for the big drive down (2hrs) so was pretty tired all day!
tim ran a 14.1 best in the orange car on 12 psi, i ran a 14.3 best on 16 psi. pretty good time for tim as its his first time drag racing.. the commentators loved the fact there was 2 starions racing, both with drivers who's last names were cox (tim is my cousin), with plenty of speculation whether we were brothers or father/son etc.. the starions got lots of good comments aswell.
tim and i both won our first races, i ended up going through to the final (yes the final) and came up against shane crichton in the legendary 1JZ 747 cressida. he was dialled in at 10.10, me at 14.5. unfortunately for me i bogged it down off the line, so even though i cut a .478 reaction time against his .717, his 10.19 ran closer to his dial in than my 15.01 shocker! he beat me across the line by .18 of a second! but its all good, as i now have a nice trophy and some series points, and possibly some prize money to boot :D we got video of our runs too.
