Just registered so have a lot of reading to do on this site. I have been out of the Starion scene for over 15 years and am about to get back in, in a big way - widebody group A factory Ralliart racecar (purchase finalised this week I hope). In 85, 86 I crewed for Ralliart at Bathurst and the ATTC, bought the factory racecar in 86 (group E Kevin Bartlett car and Peter Fitzgeralds Yokohama group E Starion in 88). When I work out how to take a hardcopy photo and get it digitised, I will start posting up pics. I have heaps. I will try and attach the pics of the widebody as it was first built/ displayed in 88.
Shit, sorry the pics did not attach so I will have to work it out and post them asap

Welcome to our site. Glad to see someone else with a bit of experience in the scene. I am sure your knowledge on the Starion way of life will come in very handy here. Can't wait to see pics of your babies.
If you email the pics to me, I would be more than happy to post them up for you

Yes, From what I have been trying to research there were a few or two Widebody 2.6ltr group A Starions made in 87. One raced and won the 12 hour race in Japan? and was also on the Mitsubishi stand at the 87 Tokyo motorshow (the car I am about to buy). The other/s I only know are no longer in existance according to Ralliart Aust. The group A cars built in Australia under John Grant management in Adelaide were 4G63 HKS engined cars which finally finished up with the single 'Dulux' car sold to a dealership in Sydney? and the other written off in Malasia by Brad Jones - thanks Bradley! The secret 'factory' Starion which I worked on in 85 was Kevin Bartletts own left hook car and I believe is now in NZ? The 2.6 was tested and not thought quick enough to compete against the Sierra and Skylines. It was factory rated at 340HP. Mine (I hope) has 350HP at the rear wheels on .9 bar and could not be held on the dyno when run at 1.7 bar. It runs a T04 and Motec management. Hope to have it logbooked for Historics this year and my main goal is to have a 'cruise' around the Mountain (Bathurst) when Group C/A get a gig again

MRB1 may know more about the car.
Someone posted a link to my105.com when it was advertised there (in the last 12 months or so).
It'll be good to have another widebody in Brisbane :D

Not in group A trim it didn't... I think there will be a few "sports sedan" bits on that one.
Good to see a Starion person picked it up though. :)
