hi all.
i managed to pick up some adjustable height/damper suspension.
it was removed from a ralliart tarmac starion. made by KYB.
Remote air cans with flexy pipes, solid pillow ball mounts(rose joints) on the rear, fronts came with hubs/discs, and all with springs.
had to give them a bit of a clean up and a lick of paint, some new bump stops/boots, but in general, all ok.
best bit of it , they only cost $250au :D
heres a few pics-

front left-needs some tlc, but fine working wise.

rear top mount

after some paint, looking good
still working on them, but coming along ok.

mate, what a bargain!
even if they need rebuilding finding genuine works performance bits is well worth the effort.
Lucky bugger!

the guy also had all the stenghened suspension parts; strenghed rear lower arms with rose joints, strenghened rear crossmember with solid ally bushes, strenghened front arms with rose joins, strenthed tca's with rose joints.
but he wanted $880

for it all, which is quite pricey to put on a tracday/road car, so i left it.
but, time paid off, as he then said the whole lot had to go or he would bin it,. so $380 later, it was mine :D :D
so just giving it all a clean and a lick of paint. got to replace a couple of shims and a rose joint, but i will get there.
tarmac rally set up, as per the orignal works spec for around $620- cant be bad :D
will get some pics up of the stuff once i have finished cleaning it up/painting.

p.s- wish i was in oz - better than sunny old england

hi lads, sorry for the delay-
heres the pics of the strenghened suspension parts;

front crossmember- i had this done.

lower arms, with plates and rose joints

strenghtened tie rod mounts and strenghtened and rose jointed adjustable tie-rods

front end layed out as it would be on the car.

rear crossmember- the one the torque tube and anti roll bar bolts too

solid aluminium bushes to bolt to chassis

welded/strenghtened lower rear arm- note the plates

close up of welding on lower arm

rear of lower arm and strenghening plates

rose joint on lower arms.

rear suspension set up as would be on the car.
i still have to replace a rose joint, and get an engineering shop to knock up 4 shims for the lower arms etc
i am going to replace the track rods while i am at it- might aswell while the suspension is dropped.
bit long winded, but i hope you like.
cheers, Dave
