Finally got my camera working
That's how she last looked approx 6 months ago.
And this is how she's been since then, waiting on motor!
4G63 SOHC 12 Valve Sirius Dash.
TD05, 38mm external wastegate. GTiR front mounted i/c, 2.5 exhaust etc are plans
Bit Sick!
Shitty old TC-06
New TD-05
New one is a wee bit bigger as you can see, real gain is in efficiency apparently
Sorry about ham photos, camera is a cheap piece, can't deal with close photos

G'day Lowlancer. Love your idea, should go very well. I was *this* close to buying a 2nd gen celelste up in nelson a few months back, called to offer the lady cash and it had just been sold, ahh wells, thems the breaks.
From your pictures, the old turbo you have is a TC-05, not a TC-06... TC-06's are noticably bigger.

Before
During
After
Not much clearance with these motors. leaves a wankload for an i/c though
Manifold is being rewelded up for wastegate flange. Wiring will be taken care of by a LINK ecu. Also, the driveshaft didn't want to play ball, so that's next, might need a starion one
Decided to invest in an EVO i/c
Current pic as of today just to show it won't actually be that tidy. won't be sticking with haggard TC turbo or crosspipe either, just to get her going.
And my "new" grille. Pretty happy with it, cost like 80 bucks but looks good. Also scored a heap of new parts for free, facelift taillights, GSR badge, headlining, extra haggard grille etc etc

Update of sorts
Really close to finished Microtech wiring now. All day from 8am was spent wiring, soldering etc. Hands are fucked.
Good stuff though
Don't care if pics are too big
Pic of engine bay as of today. gave turbo the blacktreatment for something different. I like the look
Turbo
And example of wiring I spose. Plus my awesome ghetto pump bracket I made
Hopefully will all be done and running in a week or so

What do those beasts weigh in at? No intercooler?

Around about 800-900 kgs.
I've stripped all sound deadening, not that it made much difference!
No intercooler at this stage. I was going to run a VR4 one, but I've decided to get her running, certed and legal, then sell up and move overseas.
Sucks, but things happen!

It runs! Well sorta...Timing is all over the place, and no car clued mates to help set it.
No exhaust off downpipe=very noisy, especially at 9pm backfiring for Africa
