The Alpine Stereo get a lot of attention, it's a 6 minidisc changer, 3 CD changer Radio, etc ....

It's pretty much stock apart from the strut brace.... as far as I can tell,
oversteers a bit, but the on a wet roa :D d it pulls away nicely!!

99% of 300zx have been thrashed and cost a lot of coin to repair, so if it flies now, hang on and fingers crossed, im not saying you cant make them go hard but,$$$

i would like to weigh in here and say out of the 20 or so 300s i've driven for an importer mate, even with lots of bits, even a 250kw at wheels isnt that special, being so heavy and the v motor just doesn't want to play.

looking under the bonnet is :P

you could pour a glass of water on the top of the engine and probably not see a drop hit the ground (twin turbo).

i would still have one any day but VERY VERY wary of its history as dave said they are obscenely expensive to help.

All good points made...

Rallidave, Twin turbo yes. Haltech E6X +High flowed turbos and cooler.

Standard boost no, not sure what psi exactly too busy keepin my eyes on the road when i drove it. Id say it would have to be at 15-20 psi.

Mick, yeah agree totally big $$$ if something goes wrong but there is a heap of cars in the same boat. Yes engine bay is a nightmare as mick said... but this car has low kms and a full service history, doesnt count for much but better than nothing.

Car has a reputedly 13 sec time slip (have not yet seen it myself) but it fkn goes :wink:

You must have a heavy staz, mine weighed in at ~ 1250KG with me in it.. I though the 300ZX's were more like 1600.. Maybe I'm wrong.. I can vouch secondhand that the back of them is pretty tough. My brother was in the back seat of one when it hit a water puddle whilst travelling at ~100km/h and spun off the road. backwards through trees and hit one. back crumpled in to finish 100mm from the back seat. My brother was well shaken but otherwise OK. They are not the nicest car on wet roads from what I've heard from another friend of mine with one (and taking into account the spin).

300zx= about 1500kgs
Starion= bout 1200 kgs
