DMS suspension and Alcons (new pics)

Post by DD Phil »

I called in and visited my white JA today and finally saw all the brakes and suspension on the car.

All going well I'll be driving it again before the end of the month.

Here's a pick of the 340mm DBA 5000 series rotor and Alcon 4 pot hiding inside it's 18x9 FR18. :)

I can't wait!!

So how long has it been since you drove it?

I think I've heard you say that before. Make sure you are ready for the next cruise.

It's all finished, I just have to pay the last bits of the bill now.

As you know, the budget blew out a tad :)

Were those DBA's just standard slotted replacements?

I got told that DBA don't make replacements for the Staz.

Is it still running with the stock stud pattern?

I'd be keen to upgrade my front discs to cross drilled and slotted soon...

Not too keen on keeping my stockos for much longer.

I'm running EVO 8/9 DBA 5000 hats and 340mm HSV DBA 5000 floating rotors.

See: http://forums.austarion.com/viewtopic.p ... highlight=

Coupled with brand new everything, I mean every suspension and steering component plus the Drummond coil-overs, I think it just might stop and turn.

Now if redzone could just find that 2.4lt................

people are turning away from cross drilled rotors now, due to cracking. in fact dba dont recommend using cross drilled and slotted rotors in race situations at all now, only 4 looks on the street!

and phils car still runs the 4 by 114.3mm stud pattern.

That's being taken care of, don't you worry about that. :)

Phil

PS They're 4 pots, you really don't need anything bigger, less unsprung weight is a good thing. :)
