Is there a reason why you did not use the Starion oil filter housing?

Thanks guy's. :beer

It took alot for time and effort to get it to the stage you can see now. The engine has since been fitted, but I have yet to fit the intake & exhaust manifold.

I didn't use the Starion filter housing, i just fitted the original VR4 one. Why use the Starion one Mark?

I will post fome more pics soon.

The engine build will be featured in the March issue of Perth Street Car Magazine.

Looking good Barney.
I see you have 2 rocker breathers, thats a good idea, as I had to up the size of mine from -8 to -16.
Can I ask what crank you are using?

yeh i was told the bigger the breathers the better. So i bought the biggest i could get.

The whole engine is VR4 stroked to 2.3 ltrs. this is done by fitting a crank from a 2.4 ltr Sonata or L300 van. You then have to buy the JE pistons from America these are designed for the stroker up-grade. They do this by raising the pin height on the piston, you can use the standard VR4 rods but I bought Eagle rods to suit VR4

Sounds good.

You will beat me as i have to have a 36mm intake restictor on the turbo. So i will be limited to 320 rwhp

Well there should be loads of that, around 1600 - 1700 foot pounds at the wheels with 25psi boost :D

Oh I was just wondering about the stock oil coolers lines. But you are probably making new ones anyway.
