Got my widebody sr20det dynoed yesterday

Post by starion4me »

It was a nervous day with a happy ending. I struggled to change the injectors as the old ones did not want to come out. But after some choice words and a red face they finally let go.

234.4kw @ the wheels.

Its nice to feel boost again!

Nice, must be fun to drive.

What has been done to the engine/turbo?

Custom exhaust manifold, standard Fuel/Ignition Management and Intercooled is all I can see....

Most likely running a different Turbo, may have had Fuel/Ignition settings tweaked due to changing over injectors and probably 3" all the way through

Nice result btw, did you get a 'tractive effort' readout ?

but that should be enough to see mid 12 secs for you :P just make sure you don't get too bored that you want to go even faster after that :wtf:

having problems with scanner so no pictures of dyno sheet yet. hope to sort it out soon.

Engine is fairly standard internally other than forge pistons and trust head gasket.

room for more power but want to paint the car before aiming for more.

dude...any engine conversion is going to be a lot of work and money. it all depends on how much you are going to do yourself. if you do all or most of it yourself then it wont cost much at all but if you get someone else to do it then make sure you have a big bag of cash.
I personally would rather do the work myself and learn what i need as i go.

I worked it out that i can rebuild my engine 3-4 times before it cost what it does for someone else to do it.

Yes it did just bolt in using the starion mounts and nissan brackets but i found my engine was sitting to high and the gearbox was hitting on the tunnel. So the engine had to be lowered.

Now i would like to see a rotary in a starion. Who's going to do it?

now i must get round to updating my website, ive been lazy

i considered it at one stage, just a 13b bridgeport n/a.
but then again, why not jus buy a s4 rx7.. they look very similar

starion motor into a s4 rx7, id pay money to see that..
