Looking good. Very good job you have done there.

Just a few points: that is a Sonata MPI, not an L300;
" its still internal gate because a friend of mine did an external gate t04 on his starion and he said it was a nightmare trying to make it fit."

I have a TO4 with external wastegate so it can fit no problem. ;) That GT28R is a good choice for the 2L SOHC. Should be fun to drive.

manifolds and turbo's

it's a sonata manifold. i found out last night while looking through some of the forums that it isn't an L300 or tp magna manifold. i was told it was L300 by the guy i bought it off who had it on a cordia but pics of an l300 and the tp magna look nothing like it. i didn't have a clue what it was then.
i know external gates will fit, but a gt30r was 600 bucks more expensive and then the cost of a waste gate, and the cost of the manifold it didn't really seem worth all the money to have a turbo that's only rated 50 hp larger than what i have know although i would have liked to have a screamer pipe.

A question foe NXTIME

i've asked a few workshops in brisbane what sort of power can i expect out of my car. the owner of on place who used to have a JB track car told me around 350-380hp at the motor on around 16 -18 psi boost. Another place told me he got 280 hp at the wheels out of a cordia with a very similar set up on the 1.8 sirius motor so i should have at least that. i see you have mpi and a big turbo, front mount etc. a pretty similar set up, how much power and torque are your making.

Just make sure that you get a decent camshaft and port the head.

I have only made 160rwkw@4,500rpm using the standard cam. Any boost over 12 psi would not add any more HP.

anyone know of any places in brisbane who make starion cams. if not anywere at all in aus or will it have to be a custom grind on the orignal cam? i know coltspeed do a bit of work with starion engines do they have them.

Wade cams in Melbourne has the best cams in the country. I used them when i was doing the engines for HRT and BROCK and still use them now. Infact most of the teams are still using them, and not just GRP.A. They have superb equipment there.

for those of you who's are using different cam's could you post up some specs on them please. john from brisbane tuning is INP51's dad,and chris i'm still waiting on imfo about what your dad can get or make. ask him what he had on his race car. another thing for chris the 4th bearing housing on the mini bike smashed caused by me stacking the bike, i now have no knee's left and i need a new bearing housing, and possibly new knee's.
