Jeff the reason you "luv your girls rear end" is that is what you want other competitors to remember as the Staz disappears into the distance :D

Great couple of shots. Nice vibrant pics.
Also, it's awsome to see a JA in great shape!
Tell us what went boom? Engine rebuild on the cards?

Early days of pull-down, but we confirmed a blown head gasket in between 3 & 4, and unexpectedly, when the sump (custom job from Beyond The Limit - been on the engine since 2005) was pulled, we found the sump baffles floating free
We were always going to do a full pull-down & freshen up, so hopefully there won't be any more surprises

If it is blown between the firing rings it most likely will have been caused by detonation :beer

Here's what the gasket looks like:
Here's an explanation of what transpired (forth last entry):

And I don't know what kind of gasket it is.

Also throw a set of ARP head studs. They offer much better clamping force than head bolts.

That's a monotorque gasket, they are no renowned. Get the ARPs Jeff and a graphite gasket, mine is hanging in there and I know it is running superlean ATM.
P.S The backend shot looks tough and Hitchy's wheels really suit. How'd the modified lever go?

TOMSUN or Enthuzed, do you have a part number or a source for the ARP head studs?
Thanks

ARP part number is 207-4202. Says on the box to suit 2.6 12pt thread. And you'll need 10mm spacers too.

And with the 12mm bolts (standard ones are 11mm) you'll want to do the mod for the head's oil gallery too. There should be a post on here with the links to do it.
