I think if you plan on keeping the car might as well go for something that is going to last.
I plan on running mine for as long as it lasts and once it's gone get something stronger that's going to last.

I'm no expert but if its lasted this long with what you do and the power you make you obviously look after it so why not use another factory one?

Just don't want it to break again and if I put another stock box in I will end up driving like a nana
Will probably end up fitting my old box due to time constraints and keep my fingers xed.
Thrash I like your idea so do you want my bank acc details so you can make a substantial donation :D :D

Rad go the RX7 box. You race the car, and if you want it to last, I suggest biting the bullet. I will eventually be doing what you are doing, killing my std box before upgrading. Its just 1 less mod to get things running to begin with.

IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT GETTING EVERY TENTH OUT OF YOUR CAR YOU NEED TO HAVE CONFIDENCE IN DRIVING IT AT 10/10THS WHICH WOULD MEAN USING THE MOTOR/BOX AND BOOST LEVELS TO THEIR MAXIMUM POTENTIAL. TOSS THE OLD BOX AND PUT THE REBUILD COST INTO THE RX BOX - YOU KNOW THAT IS THE WAY TO GO.
HAVE A DRIVE OF MINE - SHOULD BE OUT OF THE WORKSHOP SOON.

5-speed (or maby 6, depending on budget) BMW (M3/E36) / ZF would be MY choise...
But these MIGHT be a bit cheaper here in u-ropa...?

This one is welded to fit a Volvo 240 Turbo... :o

Not the best for circuit racing/rally.

And it appears there might be another starion or 2 joining the Team Burson lineup.

ZF is a dirty word here in Australia atm.

ZF/Ford have gotten a court order, banning the aftermarket from selling oil for ZF boxes.
