I bought a new RaceChrono GPS lap timer. Check out the footage.

Here is a few slower laps, this RX7 got past me off the start, but was slower around corners.

Love the interface. Was it easy to setup? How about working it together with the video, does it take long?
Cool maplight, do you use it much?
If you do, may I suggest an LED globe for it...it's brighter, doesn't get hot and uses less power.

The Racechrono produces a log file. The RacechronoAVI program takes the log file and produces an avi of the speedo and position on the track. Then you need a video editing program to overlay the speedo avi with the video file from your camera.
So the whole process takes some time and there are a few steps.

I don't use the map light much

Avandull, can you spell out the steps involved please and what sort of time each step takes.
Also, can you use the GPS unit it comes with as a normal GPS navigational device?
