Cant remember the exact amount the sump holds, And it doesnt sit that much lower to the ground. It just expands outwards, not so much down more.

Hasnt been a problem for the other people running them.

Hi Brendan,

Chris Collier did a great job with the motor, hopefully you can get it fitted and work out all the bits around it.

Importantly you aren't doing a simple engine swap but changing everything that makes the car go, and doing so in a way that everything has to be more precise. If you want my opinion on the install - When you are faced with saving a few $'s and doing things the quick way compared to spending the time and $ to do it right, definitely do things right as you will pay more in the long run doing it the quick way, and having to redo it properly. I'd suggest push lock fittings all around and spending the time to find a fabricator who spends the time to do a proper job.

Talking to Dave and looking at how he has done things will also be helpful and I'm happy to send pics of what Chris did for my car. Personally I would have shipped the car to Melbourne for Chris to do the whole job as it requires alot of skill - I would not try to do what you are doing myself.

Cheers
Troy

This build definatly isnt being done on the cheap. No old parts are going to be used on the car. Prefer brand new or refurbished parts, Speedflow fittings and braided line used in as many places as possible. Cheap parts arnt even getting a look at.

I have a few touches i want to add to the car that cant be relayed to someone else building the car. I know about Daves setup. I originally helped him put the motor in his car when he got it back from Chris, and helped with a few smaller things.

Ive joined the GB on polyurethane torque tube mounts and i have a bush kit coming for the control arms and swaybars. Bought new brake pads from Rice Thief, got the struts from the parts car do get the MR2 insert treatment, late model swaybars (larger then JA).

Should have the other control arm and torque tube crossmember blasted and painted tomorrow.
