G'day GormzZ,

My Starion has seen quite a bit of road use since I finished it and at the moment the only problem I am having is the Throttle position sensor is not set correctly so it is popping out the exhaust a bit because it won't shut off the fuel when you decelerate. I am using a Motech 800 ECU but none of my computers will talk to it so I am not sure what I will do there. Other then that ~ life is wonderful.
I had a look and the only pictures I could find of the sills are of my filler. I used some filler with fibre glass in it and then some normal filler and so far it has not fallen off.

Hopefully that will help somewhat.

So your sils weren't rusted out in front of the rear wheels by any chance or?

G'day GormzZ,

The rust in my sills was not that serious, it was quite funny really. Mainly had rust bubbles that looked really bad and I used the angle grinder on the rust and did not need to do any real welding of steel into it. A couple of small patches and a bit of filler and voila, it's good again.
Main problem was really the dents in the sills as I have been known for driving in an erratic manner on the dirt tracks.

Lol GormzZ - I also wish I could enjoy mine more too. Best i can do is stare at the shell and all the parts next to it.

Silly move on my part - deciding on a bare metal restore, then getting married, moving three times, having a kid, buying a clubman and then building a house.

I should have finished the car and not worried about the rest :wtf: [/quote]
