Haven't really had to work on this thing besides regular maintenance...
Pyramid of oil filters
40 spark plugs.
My trans developed a leak at the output seal, then the input shaft bearing started making a not so nice noise... I felt transmission failure coming soon, so I planned to swap it the following week; however, I lost 2nd gear when I easily pulled through a stop... wasn't even driving it hard. Felt like some of the teeth broke off. Drove my 4spd converted transmission 50 miles without any further issues.
Swapped in one of my spare transmissions, an 88/89 unit that's supposed to be stronger, and with low miles. Airbats/CityHunter helped me out and it was the fastest trans swap EVER.
Discovered the reason for my leak:
Good spare on the right, bad one on the left
My original trans mount was also stuffed, which probably stuffed my driveshaft. So I installed a poly-urethane trans mount I won in a raffle at the LasVegas Starion meet... it'd been sitting for three years. It was bare steel, so I gave it a quick spray.
While it was up in the air and needing an oil change, I replaced the oil filter plate seals. Had these on standby for two years lol.
Speaking of oil, this is my oil pan. Someday I'll build a skid plate.
While messing about in the engine bay, I noticed that the turbo coolant drain hose clamp was completely loose... not even tight, it was just flying around. I'm surprised I didn't have coolant everywhere. It'd been loosing a small bit of coolant, but I figured it was the radiator drain cock... which I also finally replaced.
One size fits all. This isn't the one I used, but I found this in Airbats/CityHunter's glove box of his newly aqcuired 83 Starion lol.
Love the new poly mount. The engine/trans feels connected to the car now, and the response/throttle control is awesome. While the wife was watching I did some donuts to "test" it out. She didn't look impressed but I'm positive she was hiding it.

Good thing my wife actually likes my car... and she's used to finding new packages delivered at the doorstep, regularly... lol.
My waterpump decided to start leaking as soon as I got the new trans in... great!! At least it's easy to change. I couldn't stop wondering if it was the gasket or if it was the pump, so I pulled it off at 1am... yep, weep hole leaking.

Covered my gauge hood in a fake Alcantara/suede to reduce the blinding glare on the glass. Let's see how long this stuff lasts, it was about $3 worth of material compared to the crazy expensive brand name Alcantara stuff. This was my first time working with fabrics, so I'm not worried too much if I ever need to redo it.
