The staz went on the dyno today at MSC Peformance in Resovoir, amongst VL Turbos and Muzzas and of course the "Cordia Boys". I wasnt expecting much from a stock engine, supra intercooler running 12psi. it made 99.9rwkw in 3rd . my car was apparentlely running so rich that it was off the dynos measuring scale. 9 parts air to fuel or fuel to air. however it works. I was assured by the mechanics that if i had looked into getting my problem with rich fuel mixture sorted out i would of easily passed the 100rwkw mark. After seeing some vr4 cordias pulling 150fwkw, i have decided to stop spending thousands on rims/gauges/bodykit/interior/hks bovs/clear taillights and start spending on the peformance side of things. i have roughly budgeted $6000 at the moment and wondering what/where to start with doing a vr4 conversion.

You've seen the light :D If you're planning on spending $6000 maybe a vr4 conversion is a bit out of reach, I hear it usually ends up around the $10 000 mark.

A better flowing, more responsive turbo would be a start, a TD05H Big 16G would be a good choice. If you want to do that you may aswell minus $1500 from your budget, worth every dollar.

Someone must have checked him into a Ricer Reahilitation Center.... Now all you have to do is loose the stickers.

go with a -front mount cooler
-mpi with computer
-and a larger turbo

and you will be happy.
-JA Starion with JD bits , Forged engine, Heaps of mods (parked up)
-BFII XR6 Turbo Ute , Here comes 400hp for 2k :p
-77 Mazda 323 drag car. 13bt rotary project.

Yes i have too many toys.

Go MPI and intercooler and see how you like it. Then better turbo after that if you want more.

yeah i might start with an after market computer and mpi,
i discovered that my yellow wire had been disconnected, i believe this may have been what caused the massive amount of richness.
the car seems to boost better than before. maybe its just my imagination. but does that yellow wire actually do more than just cut the fuel.

my first dyno and i'm addicted. But watching that line climb higher and then seeing the fuel run so rich and the power level peak and drop off :wtf:
and 99.9rwkw geeze it doesnt seem awful high, what would a stock starion with no mods at stock boost dyno at the rear wheels? i feel bad that i didnt run higher than the 1.8 stock cordias. there was even a stock 1.8 cordia with a fuel chip that pulled 130fwkw for shame

here it is even though its not awfully high

starions, being RWD take a large amount of drivetrain loss.. your hp at the engine would be significantly higher.
