Just sent exhaust manifold away to get coated in that high temp black stuff from Competition Coatings.
$220 incl gst isn't bad. Considering they quoted around $350 over the phone :)

Yes they are good people. I have just picked up my intake pipe which was coated. I have gone with the black heat coating and white interior surface finish on my exhaust manifold too.

Bottom one is the 100mm Stroke Crank. Top is std 88mm Stroke :D:D:D:D

And the exhaust manifold before i sent it away to get all prettied up :)

And yep, crank fits in, rotates on bearings without hitting anything. May have to bend piston oil squirters out of the way a little bit just to be safe...

Now just waiting for rods and pistons. Should be here soon. Left USA this time last week. Patience sucks dick

I had the problem of the pistons "just" clipping the oil squirters, another brass washer was required to gain clearance.

Go the 2.3..........you'll have a torque monster.

Yep.........use either a brass or alloy washer........no more touching.

Trial and error........was chasing an engine noise and that was it..........slight "tink" noise.

$330 from Dynamic Mechanix in Rockhampton. Ring around, few shops should be able to get them.

Here's my cheapo comedy attempt at a Sigma...

I never planned on getting a Sigma, but I actually picked it up for $20, registered, and needed something to drive while I get my Starion, and my 4 wheel drive fixed, so it's a temporary car. Bit I couldn't leave it standard! The paint and bonnet scoop were an accident, I was just stuffing around on Sunday arvo, and someone handed me the scoop and a new round chrome air cleaner, and my wife said, yeh why not, so out came the jigsaw, and on went a scoop.
I call it a Slugma, cos it's auto, and handles like a top heavy snail.

So all in all, yours is the real deal, I like it :)

And here's my $20 version:

That's a great temporary solution. I was thinking you'd have a real dunga of a car for $20, but clearly not so. Excellent find and even better buy!!
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...

So after a few 2am lengthy phonecalls to Titan Motorsports in the USA i'm getting better CP Pistons on priority freight this week for no extra cost..

They forgot to mention that wisecos wouldn't be available until mid to late August.. I need to be built by then !!
