The guy that owned my Starion before me was an interesting character who put some interesting mods on the car. One of them was the front and rear strut braces. The front one would have been a factory non adjustable one from something. Only the 2 inner bolt holes happened to line up sort of, so the rest of the tower attachment has been cut off. I'll put some pics up at some stage. We spent a few days removing the wiring and mods this chap added LOL

Can get them off Yahoo Japan to fit Starions for around $150NZD (+ Shipping/Commission etc etc, so maybe $250 all up) - I have no idea if they are any good though.

Those are the same as the one JAS has I think, the end mounts certainly look the same. $250 is pretty cheap considering the mucking around making one from scratch... Would be a good way to go.

It's normal for starionfreaknz to comment on here perrinsohc, I guess I should have addressed my questions directly to him.
Firebrand, good find!! Geez, it's about $130 to ship from the US to either NZ or Australia. Might be worth contacting them direct because shipping should be far less...the beauty of this strut bar is that (I assume) it could be unscrewed into two pieces and therefore about half the size for transporting.
Interestingly, Mookeeh only wants US $20 to ship the rear strut bar from California to wherever!

Yeah it looks pretty cool and i've submitted a question to them regarding the pricing and we will see what happens. Looks kinda shit when you compare it to Mooteeh's ebay pricing etc!

YEA BOI, they are slightly more negative than when you saw the car today. When you position up the old plate on top of the new one, you can see about 1/4 of the bolt so a good few mm to the negative :) Can be more, and the new plates make the suspension sit slightly higher so I can wind it down a bit more which is awesome

sorry for late reply haha, na she didnt run hot at all with that setup.
shes almost going again!!! well hopefully. just putting her together atm. but the winter months arent that motivating lol haha.
cant remember where i got the exhaust mani from. think my brother just at it lying around. but got a guy that can do fully custom manifolds for around 500nzd.
its running a evo 7 twinscroll turbo. spools hard as shit haha
intake manifold is evo 7 too with adapter plate for big port to small port

Cut down the inner guards so I could actually fit them again. Has anyone else actually had to do this? Haven't seen it before, worked pretty good, only the smallest amount of noise at full lock when turning a corner

18's are just a bit too big for my tastes on a flatty but your width and offset specs look absolutely top notch.
Can't see enough pics with this setup, very inspirational.
Also the blue rocker cover and strut brace look great together.
Hero car in the making here, keep up the good work.
