Someone should do a group by on some Chinese copies ;)
Exactly.

I dont have an issue with paying good money for a good product. But thats just excessive.

Linkage for these copies?

Revive time... Looks like i've sold the 500hp skid machine so its time to get this going..

Parts list to buy:

JE Stroker Pistons 8.5 CR

BC 288 cams. Don't know what the cams in my head are, supposed to be "insane" but i don't want to risk anything this time..

Kiggly racing girdle

4x 1600cc injectors (want to go e85 when its more available, may as well prep for it now)

Another bosch 044

Eagle 2.4 crank and ACL race series bearings

Exhaust manifold... Kinda lost with this one.... ???

Anyone got any hints or tips to get me towards my goal? Eventually want 600rwhp, even if i have to go E85.

good luck im looking forward to seeing how this turns out

Seeing I am spending your money I would be getting Pauter rods , 94 mm crank,FP black & a Hypertune inlet manifold with a 75mm tb

As for an ex mani Kyle is not too interested in our 4Gs. I have seen a couple of magic manis all a delight to see with super neat TIG welding from Mick at Exotic exhaust, Dereks mani from Gonzo and Garrys from GT AUTOS ?? all in Brissie. I think that Gonzo has jig and wouldn't need the car

Yeah, tried Kyle ages ago and he's not interested at all.. As for turbo I have a new Garrett 3582r, should do the job nicely I think..

Rad - internals are the same as rob has in his yellow road car.. It went 600+ at all 4.

Already have the JMF race intake with a 90mm Q45 tb.

Anchor, the parts you listed are fine.

As long as the motor has the right clearances and is balanced, plus a proper tune with no 'knock knock who's there? The grim reaper is', to kill your engine, it will be fine. :)

With 288 cams, you will want a long runner exhaust manifold to minimise back-pressure robbing power during overlap, so get 6BOOST to make it for you. He has plenty experience in this field.

The 3582r won't get you 600rwhp, but something like a BW EFR 8374 should ( http://www.full-race.com/store/turbos/b ... turbo.html ) and will spool up much quicker than any equivalent Garrett roller, due to its Titanium alloy turbine wheel and ceramic ball bearings.

If you have the time and cash, I would also setup 4 EGT sensors, one for each exhaust runner. Helps in 'tuning for each cylinder' and telling you when an injector is failing/blocked, and also how the intake is performing (ie leaning out airflow towards the back or front etc), which a single 02 sensor in the exhaust can't do.

Do all of the above and I guarantee you will reach your goal and it will hold together for much longer than 5000km's. :beer

Feel free to PM me with future technical queries. Enjoy!

Thanks docile, if the 3582r won't get me to my goal i'll upgrade later on down the track.

As for the exh mani, already been decided with the tuner to run 4 seperate egt sensors. Going to have as many failsafes as possible this time.. Lol.

Shop doing the machinework is the only one i can find with a torque plate for a 4g63 and have done the machine work for a few big hp 4cyl's.. Hopefully they get the clearances right etc.

Nice, looks like you have been given good advice and have also found a machine shop with experience. Well done! You should be in good hands.

That is around about about the same mark I am aiming for.

I was going to suggest going with ID2000's for the injectors as you can tune them up for down depending on where you want them to be.

And if you are going to go the E85 route (down the track) ditch the 044's, they wont last.

And I have been guaranteed 600hp at the tyre with this turbo: http://www.powertune.com.au/6262.html

Damn, shoulda got me one of them.. Oh well. Only payed $1390 for my 35r brand new with warranty. See how it goes...

Bosch 044's won't last with E85? What about something from the Aeromotive camp? Any ideas on injectors?

Can't forget about ignition either, atm i'm running two commodore V6 MSD coils in waste spark, gunna try get rid of that and run something better.

Oh, and i might ditch the Autronic SMC..
