well, got her mapped today- had a few probs, but got some figures- 230bhp@5290 rpm/250lbft@4255 on 12psi boost.
(it was around 180bhp atw)

we had trouble with the tyre spinning on the rollers

and the amal valve would not hold above 14psi, hence the low boost.
so i am going to get another higher rated amal valve and wind the boost upto 25psi.
with the cam from old fart( :beer cheers mate), high comp ratio, alu flywheel and garrett t34 , i am seeing positive boost from 1500 upto 3000 and holding steady through out the rev range.

now drives real nice with seriously good response.

big d- the stickers were made at one of our car shows.
only a couple of pound/dollars.

chose to stick with the sohc.
trying to keep it in taste with how the staron was from factory.

Dave I have a little boost adjuster called a potentiometer that is hooked up to the computer so it controles both boost & wastegate and i can have boost between 10 & 16 psi You can programme in whatever max psi you want

hi,
cheers rad,
that cam is great!!!!
turns out the loss of power was the clutch slipping due to the preload being set wrong.
i have fitted a bleed valve at the mo and am running 1-1.2 bar(14 psi-17 psi) and it pulls alot better.
hoping that it should make more power now, as we put the loss down to wheel spin, not the clutch

looking to get it remaped soon, as it pops alot on over run, and is doing my head in!!! good flames tho. :D

getting a proper set of ap 4 pots, off one of the doug forbes race cars(raced in uk in the day), but i will put up another thread for that tho.

reduce the ignition timing to 20-25 BTDC on throttle overun to get rid of the popping etc.
