I have made my final cash offer which is the price he wanted last week but now he wants more! I have asked that he get back to me by Sunday afternoon as I will make an offer on a group Nc race car in Sydney which has come up at the right price and the right time. Any one want to buy an E38 Bathurst Charger?

If memory serves me right - no . He did the engine but I think the body and cage from Japan completed. Then again I do recall Steve having input so maybe, a long time ago.

What it's worth and what he is asking are two very different figures. If you wanted to build one to the same spec it would cost a heap more than his 50k asking price. I believe it is worth about 25k considering it is not homoloigated or logbooked for group A and is nolonger in its original mechanical state. I would have bought it and used it in sprint events as well as display events like speed on the tweed or muscle car masters etc. A pity that it might be sold off shore and never seen again. I have not hadf a call in over a week so believe the deal is dead.

Spot on with the figure...exactly what i thought.

Im pretty sure Steve just did the engine and maintained it at some of the events. I recall him talking about it when we were in the GTCC together in 89'.
