Hi RadOLD FART wrote:G/dayAsh gotta luv your spotless engine bay
do u think that a beanie 4 the turbo & an exhaust wrapped dump pipe would help 2 prevent soiled undies in future ???
Cheers

I have considered the Beanie!. Still not sure what to do. I have ceramic coated the Turbo, Dump pipe, Exhaust manifold and screamer pipe.
To late in preventing soiled undies, that happened when the accellerator cable melted

Yeh, custom intake manifold.FlawlessVictory wrote:Custom plenum inlet? Looks neat and i saw you being overtaken by that Rx7, initially i thought it was a starion. I actually thought that was YOU in that footage and i went "This guy can drive"
The footage is taken from a car that has won the championship in the past. It is very well developed and laps barbagello in about 62 - 63 seconds on treaded tyres (V8 supercars 59 - 60 seconds race pace on slicks)
It has about 100 rwhp more than me and is about 200kg lighter with wider tyres. It runs in the street car class which has a lot less restriction! He is about 2 seconds a lap slower than the fastest street car of Kerry Wade in his Series 6 RX7. If you look closely in the mirror you can see a blue car about to overtake just before the footage ends, thats Kerry. At the Start you can also see a Red Series 6 RX7 take pass on the left thats Graeme Stones also about 2 seconds a lap faster.
Im Laping Barbagello in about 66 - 67 seconds. With 300 rwhp it feels fast, until you get overtaken by one of the Mazdas or the white/blue/red Skyline you soon realise that you are slow :)

If you are talking with Graham Stones say hello to him from me (Greg Farmer). I know him from when he was in Sydney and got me into karting. He's not a bad bloke actually. I think his son Troy is racing cars now. When I knew Graham, Troy was in Cadets in Karts. His wife also used to race as well.

Never argue with an idiot, it brings you down to their level and they beat you with experience.

I will say hello for ya. Graeme has now hung up his helmet and Troy will be getting into his Street Car. Troy has been running a series 1 RX7 (NA)in Improved Production. I dont think he could resist the calling for a 550 hp street car :)
