Looks absolutely beautiful, Charlie. The undercarriage is sensational!! (considering mine was damaged in transist).
Fixable though.

Got to get me some of those 'INTERCOOLED' stickers on the door sills :D

Take it easy on the wheels.....

Hey Barney the stock rims look magic! 7" on the front and 8" on the back, not bad for stock.
I agree thay look good for stock, especialy for the age. Great whith but abit taller would be nice
You just need to lower it a bit and they look fantastic. Alexis's yellow widebody looks fantastic in the flesh.
Or get the 8" Fronts and 9" Rears

Don't worry, I won't go too bling on the wheels. But they will be fat with a PH :D

I located it in Japan and had a friend look at it and buy it for me. I also now have access to auctions and deaers in Japan and can import a widebody for anyone who wants one to suit most budgets. Unfortunately, due to the new 15 year import law, only pre-1989 cars can be imported.

As a reference, there is a 1990 widey for sale in black (surprise!) with only 76,000kms and in superb condition (better than what mine is currently in) for 1,000,000 yen FOB. This will end up costing approximately $19K registered in Australia. But it is no longer importable.

So if anyone wants a widebody, I will be happy to help import one :)

Thanks everyone. And yes I am over the moon as I didn't expect it to be this clean :) She has done 110,000 kms, but drives like a car with half the kms.

Mark, I might be able to get you some of those stickers.

I didn't end up racing tonight as I couldnt get ahelmet. Maybe next week.

Price Reference: 1989 Starion GSR-VR (Widebody) in black with 120,000 kms is selling for 450,000 yen. This will equate to approx $9,500 landed plus cost of compliance, registration, and any other roadworthy requirements for your state:

My other 1990 model car owes me more than all the cars I have ever owned put together!

The reason why Starions are so expensive is because they are a cult/enthusiasts car and those that are in very good condition are sold for higher prices. The rules of supply and demand also apply I guess as there were only 850 widebodies made for the Japanese market. Ironically, the USA has so many widies that they are cheap as chips there.

Thanks, Anthony. I will be respraying the whole car before fitting any mags, but I have a set of Japanese wheels in mind for it.

I've got 9s and 10s under my stock narrow body.

Surely you can go even bigger on a wide body?
