Hehe, posessed is the word! Actually that picture is my partner in crime in the V12TT-projekt, my apperance is a bit different (better I wold say):
Image

The body work on the Starion is not so funny at all, there are no replacement parts to find here. So I had to manufacture them my self, since I have never worked with car bodies in this way before it was a bit of a challenge :)

I rolled the metal on a fire extinguisher to shape it as the former threshold. The material I use is from the factory that manufactures VOLVO truck cabins.
Image

The wheel arc had to be totally rebuilt, It seemed a bit difficult to start manufacturing these without any tools for this kind of work. I also wanted to make room for some pretty fat rims without having the tires outside the fender. So once again, VOLVO..... -I am not a fan of Volvo in any way, but since every body here drives them the parts are cheep :D . So Why not use wheel arcs from a Volvo 360, practically the same design:
Image

Well not really....
Please forgive me Starion puritans, but it was the closest I could find

The rims I choosed was also a matter of supply and demand. How many vehicles here have a suitable set of rims mounted in their original version? Well, once again I had to be unfaithfull to the Mitsubishi brand...

Really cheap and perfekt dimensions, -Toyota Supra MKIV. Tyres: 265/40 17 in the back and 215/45 17 in the front. The bolt pattern was the same (114,3x5) , but then there are no more simularities.....

Offset, center hole, -totally different. How ever, the expression: "bolt on" was nothing for me any way so I had these manufactured after my preferences:

Mitsubishi Starion specs on the inside and Toyota Supra on the outside, these little fellows will give appr. the same track width as the original car. The spacers are 50mm in the rear and 30mm in the front.

I am honestly very embaressed about the Volvo-parts. Volvo are built for old men and boring families. Starion is not a car for old men or boring families, I would be prouder to say that I used Saab-parts....

However, I hope the goal justifies the means :D

The car is standing on jack stands so it is looking a bit empty around the tires:

I will try to remember to take some better pictures of the rear (volvo) wheel arcs, they are making the body a bit wider. It is going to be interesting to see the final result with the mixes of the round smouth design of the Toyota and Volvo parts in contrast with the Starions sharp design.
I would guess that the Toyota Supra fans are a bit upset about putting theese rims on a Starion, but who gives a f***

nice work. when you die, try not to total the body, you put so much work in to it..
I figured out the meaning of life, and since then every day just gets worse.

Hello everybody,

It has been a year or two since I have logged on this wounder full site! There has not been as much progress as it should because of the V12 twinturbo taking al my time and money, and no, it is not finished either.....

Invested in a reasonable sized intercooler:
Meassurements: 600x300x100mm.

Compared to the original intercooler:

You are aware of the problem with the throttle housing on the wrong side, this is my solution, with a bigger plenum chamber also.

I have changed direction in the case of the engine donator. My first idea was to use an EVO1-engine. But after realizing that all the parts in the EVO-engine that makes it an EVO has to be replaced, my modest power target is 500hp.

I will instead be building on a 6-bolt NA Galant engine  :D The 6-bolt is stronger in many ways, and costs practically nothing from an old used Galant, all internal parts will be replaced anyway so this is a cheaper way to reach the goal.
