Cooler looks original to me?
I haven't had a problem with the speedo. Took me 5-10 minutes to get used to and thats it. 50/70/80/100 becomes 30/45/50/just past 60. Although my girlfriend did have that problem :) "You know this is a 50 KM zone, not MPH right?" hehe that was great
Yeah the cooler might be original, but when I took the photo I was like 'WTF'. I was expecting the steel pipe painted black, and the cooler painted black like my 1985 intercooled Starion was.
Oh and some goodies just turned up, 2 DASH heads complete, 1 polished rocker cover, inlet and split-pulse exhaust. You can see where this is going:

Land Rocket wrote::saywha Why do you have a MPH speedometer in a right hand drive car. Did the car come with it, or did you buy it from someone in the USA?
They use MPH in Europe too. I was told its NZ new but haven't looked up the details, but nevertheless this is the or is the same as the Euro EX. The manuals are in English and German.
Its got high mileage, but it really doesn't feel or look like it, its like new to drive.

Well I haven't pulled it out, and I've never even seen a US Starion/Conquest in real life, so I'm not really 100% sure, but from previous speedo experience with Starions, I'd say it would most likely go on with no problems. Like I can swap a 180 Digital Japanese speedo, with a 240 Australian speedo, and it DID just plug straight in.
The only thing I can think of that might be 'iffy' is the boost gauge. I'm not sure if different MAP sensors might change the readings. I like it :) reads in psi not kgscm.
I'd imagine these are hard to find, in all honesty I didn't know a 260KPH speedo existed before I got the car

Should be able to tell from the rego slip in the windscreen. There's a smaller date (MM/YY) towards the right hand side of the slip. The GSR-X had one sometime in 1991 IIRC.

Thats not an LCD, it has 2 lights behind that window. One is for the security indicator, factory alarm. The other is OD, overdrive off light.
I had to go out in the garage to check on an extra instrument cluster I have. I have a 5 speed so, the OD light is obsolete.
So are you saying that the 160 speedo's, are a european item?

Got to get on a european board then, and see if I can get ahold of one. Are see if HCCA can modify a speedo to read 160 or more, would just require more numbers on the bottom.
