Wont be mine.

I have lost all interest in using it. Its under a cover gathering dust and will prob stay there for at least 3 or 4 months until all the below happen-

a) my health gets better (am still sick and have lost 8 kilos in past 2 months. Am down to the weight I was when I was 16, not good)
b) I have some money to spend
c) the weather gets warmer
d) my interest returns (if)
e) work pressures back off and stress levels reduce.

In fact, if someone wants to make a sensible offer on the car they can have it.
Never argue with an idiot, it brings you down to their level and they beat you with experience.

Hey Greg sorry to hear you are not in the best of health.Things must be bad when you are thinking of selling the Staz. Your health is the most important thing you need to worry about so hope you can return to fighting fit soon.
As for getting a sensible realistic offer for your car don't hold your breath as you will be blue in the face before that happens as we are all tight arses on here :) LOL

ah... if you discover any underlying or obvious reasons for the break other than shit loads of torque let me know?

otherwise it'll be fingers crossed :)

You will love the RX7 box Rad. As others have said, its something you dont have to worry about breaking when using at the track.
Or even

I like my Ute box. It doesnt shift as nice as the RX7 boxes but I can give it death and not worry about if I have to push the thing home :)

Mal Wood said there must have been hairline stress fractures from the track when it had heaps of torque going thru it and didn't need much to finally break.
It is going to Lees on Wed nxt and hope to be able to get the drive shaft measurements for Driveline Services to mod the shaft to be back up and running before Thursday week when I am off to Maryborough for the Sprints.
Must thank Allan (Avandul) for the x member and dust shield pattern as well as other vital info that will hopefully help everything go smoothly. :beer

PS I should be thankful that it broke when it did because I would have been well and truely cheezed off if it had happened when it was offloaded at Maryborough about a 3-4 hour trip

Rhys I had no problems when it had app 250 hp atw.Expect to pay $700-$750 for a series 4/5 box

Just back from checking the speedo with the Navman and the speedo is app 5% slow/low EG =80 on the speedo =84 on the Navman

MY impressions on the 7 box is that the gate is a bit notchy or more precise and it needs a firmer hand when changing gears and the gate is much shorter than the Staz box and it is a bit of a stretch compared with the old box to reach the stick and I sit with bent arms.
