Reminds me a little bit of a HR holden with 2 doors, I like it.
Vauxhall made them. The Magnum is just the upper spec Viva. They were available in Australia, at least the HC shape which mine and perrinsohc's is. The HA and the HB Vivas were the basis for the Holden Torana except the Holdens had a lengthened front end to accommodate the six cylinder engine.

Yea thats right, the 1300 magnum was available in new zealand and aus only, with wiki says something about that, all other UKDM magnums were 1800 and 2300 ohc. is that right? I have only seen two other tru 1300 magnums around, worth keeping id say

Congrats man, Ive seen it a few times in the flesh, very nice.
The seats and steering wheel are out of a car I wrecked a few years ago! :P

did I see you after the 4s and rotors?
87 GSR-V, Factory DASH, Rebuilt bottom end with arp rod bolts and balance shafts removed, head reconed with 3 angle valve grind, TD05 housing machined out to take Garrett T4 internals, rebuilt and cryoed gearbox

Some Pics of the subframe rebuild that is currently in the process of being completed. Been smooth sailing so far.

Using Kit from USA and will be buying a few more bits and pieces for steeting etc soon.

Big thanks to Hamish for the dedicated hours so far.

The whole frame finally out after quite a few hours. Reason it took longer than expected was the large number of unnecessary bolts that we took out before relising that they weren't going to help get the subframe out (suspension, torque tube etc) due to the lack of manuals and guides. About 3 hours in total for the subframe itself

I gotta say that you Kiwi blokes are outdoing us with the attention to detail in the subframe area (apart from Hitchy).
Nothin' like a tight chassis on a 20+ year old car!! :)

good work there, I'm going to drop my whole rear sub-frame and suspension out today just wanting to get a ballpark time ill be looking at to do it, doesn't seam like it would be a big job a rough count up in my head max 20 bolts(but saying that i have to do it twice as swapping to another starion) cheers josh

you can get the rear subframe out in about an hour if you've done it before :) not much holds them in!
Fibreglass airdams $370, fibreglass front bumpers $260, reco drag links $165, alloy radiators $925 (unpolished), h/l switch rebuilds $125, all plus freight.
