Rear struts will be shortened not to lower car more, but improve travel. At the moment there would be about 20mm to the bump stop.
That wouldn't be fun to drive then, in fact probably dangerous...
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...
How?

Bolted new billet flywheel and clutch from 'competition clutch' in the US. New assembly ~14kg old assembly ~21kg

Also put 3.9:1 diff gears in and new bearings and seals. Note diff jig (made for Ford 9" adapted to starion) and home-made special tool no 11tythree. Anyone in QLD contemplating a diff build is more than welcome to borrow.

Better pic of exhaust

Additional 3" entry to air-box and modified lower filter holder for more airflow. Definetly made a difference. Excuse the shitty welds - I'm still learning how to drive my tig better.

Got going last night and not happy with some driveline chatter that has developed. I'm confident it's not the diff, so suspect the flywheel & clutch. I'm reserving judgement for when I diagnose what the problem is. Clutch is also fairly vicious and I'm not making enough power to justify the harshness. Will probably swap for full face.
Farking annoying, but that is what you get playing with cars.

Rule #1,2&3 when TIG-welding is CLEAN, CLEAN and CLEAN again!
#4 would be... dont hurry...
It realy cant be too clean before you start welding...
And, dont forget to clean the added material, and no greasy gloves!

Dunno much about the clutch. Bought through http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/inde ... opic=85751
The sellers testimonials that 'even my grandmother drove it' with the HD clutch would be fairly generous. The 4 pack sold centre in my Lancer is easier to drive than this (maybe the lack of low down torque in a heavy car is the difference).

Hey anthony, did you end up finding out what was wrong with your car? Clutch or diff or else? I need a new clutch and am waiting to see if it will be the clutch causing you issues. Cheers mate.

Not yet! Currently out of the country and not had a chance to look at it. On my priority list when I get home.
