Gary, you were talking to me last year actually at Jamboree. I have only had the car going on two years now. Actually about 2 years 1 month now.
And I have been a uni student, and uni students can't afford much. And at the moment I am now working full time but still supporting a uni student (my girlfriend).
So my car will be (engine wise) finished about this time next year, all except internals, as I have to do step my step. But I did however put a heap of money into it. And it has more power then the last time you saw it. :D

yep yep the old `my dyno is better than your dyno`. the blacktop dyno (drags)is best, as inpsi wrote. i`ve had my old turbo gemini on inpsi`s fathers dyno, it read slightly higher than a dyno dynamics.. so who really knows eh? but we`ll have 2 weigh gary`s car 2, as i`m curious as 2 the actual weight of it with all that stereo umm... stuff... but then maybe we`ll get a debate on the accuracy of the weighbridge??? such is life on an internet forum........ Gotta weigh my car 2 c how much power my stockish motor made 2 do 13.92 @ 99mph.... with an open diff... i reckon gary`s should do a low 13 in full street trim as it sits right now with all that.... stuff... in it ......
Fibreglass airdams $370, fibreglass front bumpers $260, reco drag links $165, alloy radiators $925 (unpolished), h/l switch rebuilds $125, all plus freight.

Come again? Twin cam 2.6L? I thought the HKS/Ralliart 4G54 heads were a limited run of 15 or so and only 2 are known to be left in the US.starion.gsrvr wrote:only way for big power from 2.6 is the twin cam.but not many of them around although there is 1 on gold coast now.4wd. should make show soon

Im with you-SINGLE CAM 4G62 POWERRRRRRRRRRRRR.Mr Ralliart wrote:We just did our initial Dyno run on Gary Carrols black show/street Starions engine we've just completed. 278 hp at the wheels and 1000lbs of tractive effort at only 5500rpm and 17psi !! VERY happy with this as the Engine is very streetable and only has 1000kms on it so once it's got another 1000 or so kms and we wind the boost up to around 20psi , we should be able to get a fair bit more out of it utilising the entire rev range. This is using only a medium size Ballbearing Garrett and the power comes on very early .
Proof again that while Twin Cams are cool , Don't underestimate the Single cams!!
:D :D For anyone interested in having a look , it'll be at the Brisbane Autosalon this weekend.
