Its a '83 GSR-II, so its got electrics and power steering but no air conditioning etc.
Only 136,000km
Genuine family car (check that out on a VIR, and its true)
Comes with original Starion manual book :D
WOF and reg
Only problems are some tiny rust spots on the door cills (as all Starions have at some stage), front tyres need replacing and it needs a wheel alignment.Only cost me $750, and after repairs I still expect it to be a total cost of much less than $1500.
I did get one message from my girlfriend as she was driving which said 'your other baby is going fine too :) ' - so that means good things indeed :) Car is being stored at my gf's house in Hamilton, I live 650km south, so I wont actually get to see the car until she drives it down on labour weekend (3 weeks).
In that time I need to get rid of my parts car, so anyone in Wellington who wants a free intercooled Starion chassis, I'll pay YOU to take it! haha
So Why?
Well I was having trouble making plans for the GSR-X. (and jrod82 knows where I'm going with this I'm sure). Basically you want to improve the car, but at the same time you dont want to change it, knowing they're getting rarer, it feels like you're destroying history by modifying.
Also I really wanted to have a genuine Starion, with all the original Starion gizmo's. So what we have here, is just that. A 100% original Starion, that I can install my VELNAS, digital dashboard, that new centre console I got last week and so on. Its got low kms, so it'll make a reliable runabout as well.
The black dashboard is another bonus :)
99% of these are red, the grey/black is rare and different. So I'm happy about that too :)
