Well, it's off to Calder Park tomorrow to complete the running-in process and (touch wood) have a bit of fun in the afternoon.
Then we (my engine builder buddy & me) may show our ugly mugs at the next Melbourne cruze.
A couple of digi cameras will be on hand so I'll post some pictures as soon as I can.
I can only hope that the Starion gods are shining down on us tomorrow.

Jeff
Remember to run the engine in HARDDDDD !!!! with mineral oil
Not exactly to redline, but load the engine up in steps till you hit 6000rpm and run it hard through the rev range for the first 20K's
Not sure how clean the bottom end was either when it was re-assembled (i.e. metal fillings etc) so best put an In-line filter between the Oil hose connecting to the Turbo housing to avoid any bits chewing away at the bearings and siezing the turbo sooner rather than later
Print this off along with this link > ( http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm ) and show it to your Engine builder to explain why you shouldn't incase he advises against doing so etc.
Well, what a relief; run-in completed without a drama and about 20 laps of fun. Here's a couple of pics:
A little bit of paint & a tidy up and she should look fine!
My pit area (oh and a rear spoiler to go on too - should be here any day now thanks to Oscar :D )
Chasing down a Group C Torana (I wish)
Now that's me on the left, or is that my right & your left??
All kinds of great cars to play with
Roaring down the back straight
