If someone scans the bits I can stick it together and line it up.

No more pics of the wiring job, but It's all pretty much done and back together. Will be nice and tidily hidden now. The new connectors are on order, so will hopefully be here in time for the weekend.

Wiring is all done with new Deutsch connectors, should be nice and trouble free now.

I'm not too far away from painting the engine bay, as it was never done and looks a bit 'off', being old faded red next to the shiny red of the body. I'm going to do it black, but can't decide between gloss or satin..

Anyone have an opinions on this? Would love to hear :-).

The hood was painted when the rest of the car was painted, so it'll be staying what it is. Just the bay didn't get done.

Hmmm, hadn't though about how much of a paint satin finishes are to keep clean.

EVERYTHING will stick to it and show.
Wather, oil, greasy fingers, yuk, snod, gush...
But when it's clean... FABULUS!

It's tempting, but I'm not confident it being able to get a half-way decent result :-/.

Would it be harder to get a decent finish on a gloss black than the actual car colour?

Love the car colour by the way reminds me of my Starion when it was just resprayed - what is the colour by the way?

I sprayed the engine bay of my hatchback Torana in gunmetal grey before it was sprayed malachite green (by a professional).

I thought I did an average job - but when all the accessories were reinstalled it looked like a million $$.

Go for what you think will look best - I'm sure you'll be able to get a great finish.

A gloss black will be harder to paint and get a good finish as it will show imperfections, although this is more of a concern with the exterior than the engine bay, I say go for body colour, makes it look heaps cleaner IMO and black looks like it's not meant to be there, although it doesn't show oil and general engine muck as we'll but if your going in to the effort to prep and paint the entire bay it's not too hard to wipe over it every now and then.

Got any pics of where the new wiring runs? Keen to see how much you were able to hide :beer
