new tune, 482 wheel hp

made it at 34 psi, but it hardly made any extra power with extra boost above 28 psi. right now it's at 30 psi and it's chilly outside. no traction in the first three gears. I raced a stock c5 corvette z06 and beat him easily. It's probably around 450-460 at the wheels. It's pretty fun!

Here it is getting the extra knock sensor installed so the tuner could listen on headphones.

Since Andrew is soooooo slow, I'll post this for you guys:
I'm using a pte 6262 t3 .82 cam is a 292 solid from schneider... it was e79 on the fuel analyzer and with that treadstone manifold its most likely got quite high backpressure

Hmmm... kind of makes me wonder...
If you calculate backwords the motor's onley making 180 (or so) hp N/A...
With a 292° cam I'd say it should make at least 200 N/A and add the 34psi and some driveline losses (no more than 20%, tops!).... would make at least 525whp.
The 6262's here in sweden makes 600+whp... (depending on enginesize and setup of course!)
And it's probabley good for a lot mote than that.

But!!!
480whp would not be bad at all to have in at Starion! :beer

About the most fun one can have with their pants on!
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...
How?

Very nice.

How is the gearbox holding up with that kind of torque?

The gearbox is doing fine. It's an 89 transmission from a stockish car, so I think it lived a decent life before now. At any rate, it's holding fine. I did shake a pressure plate dowel out of the flywheel, but it's still got two others!

As far as power. Yeah, I was hoping for around 525 as well, but the exhaust manifold is most likely causing some pretty high back pressure, which isn't allowing as much timing as should be run. My tuner was trying to determine how real the knock readings were, but played it safe and kept timing low. At 30 psi I'm only at about 13 degrees of timing. I think it could be more. It's also a stock Mustang throttle body, inlet temps were sky high because of the sensor placement, and maybe other reasons. 6262s in 'Murica are making 700+ on evos so I know the power potential.

Not to mention it's 7:1 static compression. So it's working against me in some ways. It's fun to drive around though. I have to be careful getting on it in 3rd just to pass someone. I passed a truck the other day at an angle cause it was spinning in 3rd. Accelerating around corners or on/off ramps is a big no-no.

To summarize: It likes the juice.

Sounds like a whole lot o fun.
:D

And good to hear that the gearbox is holding up after hearing all those stories about it being to weak for serious power. :D
