My JB

Post by Matty »

Hey all

Finally got my first Starion on the weekend, after wanting one ever since my older brother (stazza brendan) got his.

It's an 85 JB that I saved from being parted out. Had to drive 1600km in just over 24 hours to get it, but I think it's well worth it.

Doesn't run at the moment, and the body is.........less than perfect, but it's going to be a gradual project so I'm not that fussed. The interior is damn near perfect, which is a bonus.

Brendan and myself just scored a JA as a parts car, so the body problem should be mostly solved now.

Anyway, here's a few pics I snapped up on the weekend, sorry about quality was taken on my phone. I'll get some more pics on the weekend after I clean it out and give it a bath...

Should be a good project! Nice combination of red exterior and seemingly tan interior(not maroon)! And LSD to boot!!

Rare find!!

Time for a progress update

Nothing too big, pulled off the front end a few days after I got it

Image

The panel between the headlights (nosecone I think its called) was bent and dented beyond repair so thats in the bin. Already got a good condition one on the JA parts car we bought this week.

So we got to work on the front bar

This is the reo bar before we attacked it

and after grinding out the rust with a fresh coat of paint

Next step is to finish sanding and filling the bar itself, then get to work pulling apart the JA

Nothing too big yet, works been running me down (damn christmas time :x )

Thanks guys

Cheers Matty

lol pull that nose cone out of the bin and store it for a later day, u would be amazed at what i've had panel beaters repair...

when someone pulls out in front of ya, and the insurance company cant find parts, u can sell them your repairable one to fix your car ;)
