How about a topic that has a list of all things we abbreviate, and what they mean.
Eg, MPI- multi point injection, MAP- Manifold Absolute Pressure and what ever else there is (cbf thinking of them atm).
Be good for the newbies.
Stick it at the top of technical

Seems like a good idea because no-one knows what MAP or anything like that means, and it is annoying trying to find them

We'll see what happens.

LSD - Limited Slip Diff.
OVCP - Over valve cover pipe
OHC - Overhead cam
DOHC - Double overhead cam
MPI - Multipoint (fuel) injection
TBI - Throttle body (fuel) injection
IC - Intercooler
AC - Air conditioning
ECU - Electronic Control Unit
MAP - Manifold absolute pressure (sensor)
MAF - Mass air flow (sensor)

4G63 or G63 - Engine code for the Starion's 2L motor.
Sirius - Mitsubishi's name for the G63 2L motor pre-VR4
DASH - 12 valve head for G63, I beleive it stands for 'Dual Action Super Head"
VELNAS - Vehicle Electronic Navigation System (Starion trip computer/race lap timer)
EGR - exhaust gas recirculation - sucks the exhaust back in to the intake for emissions purposes.
Vac - short for vacuum (suction)
Advance - makes something happen earlier (cam advance makes valves open and close earlier, vac advance on the distributor causes sparks to fire earlier)
Retard - opposite of advance.
ATF - Automatic Transmission Fluid (e.g. Dexron II, used in power steering, or for an automatic gearbox if you have one)
MCA-JET - Mitsubishi Clean Air - Japanese Emissions Technology (gay)
MAFS - Mass Air Flow Sensor
AFM - Air Flow Meter (same as above basically, tells car how much air is going in so it can calculate the fuel)

Isn't MAF - Mass Air Flow

And the debate starts...

Just to add to the pile:

DASH - 12 valve head for G63, I beleive it stands for 'Dual Action Super Head"
VELNAS - Vehicle Electronic Navigation System (Starion trip computer/race lap timer)
ECU - engine control unit (computer that does the fuel and other bits)
VTEC - Valves Tick Engine Cracks (Honda technology)
EGR - exhaust gas recirculation - sucks the exhaust back in to the intake for emissions purposes.
Vac - short for vacuum (suction)
