PM Notification

Post by enthuzed »

Seems like the notifications via email come through hours later than they are delivered the Austarion Inbox. And if you check the inbox then notification doesn't even seem to occur.
Is the notification somehow tied to the timestamp? ...which is nothing like AEST or anything recognisable...

It's a factor of the forum not being updated anytime recently. Database congestion and various "bad" entries in the tables throwing behind the scenes error codes.

Also the host may be lagged down or the emailbox that sends the messages may be quota limited and near quota.

Apart from never getting notifications of PMs, I also never get notifications of forum posts either. (I have "Always notify me of replies" set.)

I tried to ask about this to the official email address, but it's bogus.

Send a PM to decoy, failing that Alspos or tmz_99.
The lads would be checking these posts from time to time anyway.
